Latest: Underground makeover for Kentish Town West, Hampstead Heath and West Hampstead
London Underground stations in West Hampstead, Kentish Town and Hampstead Heath have been given a much-needed makeover.
With 63,000 people using the London Overground network every day, Transport for London has invested heavily in the 34 stations in the capital.
They have been repainted, deep-cleaned and received new electrical equipment such as tannoys, information screens and CCTV.
The investment also aims to vastly improve the network's infrastructure, including a connection between the East London and North London lines in 2011.
